Connecting the Dots

C

My wife left me after 4 months.

We had a conversation and confirmed (not realised) we didn’t love each other any more. It was the best thing to do.

It still knocked the wind out of my sails though. I mean, what happened to “Til death do us part?”

I’d even resigned from a job with a 6 figure future because she asked me to choose just before we got married.

As part of the rebound, I got back into clubbing, which I’d stopped after landing my high powered high responsibility role.

I’d always wanted to be a DJ, so I entered DJ competitions.

I didn’t get very far, but it led me to becoming a weekend club photographer. A fkn good one, if I do say so myself 😁

Technique not the best, but I got onto the dancefloor where others feared to tread, and captured people enjoying life to the max.

After 10 years of doing this, a resident DJ at the infamous SpeedQueen in Leeds invited me down to cover a night.

On the hallowed dancefloor of the iconic SQ I met Jade.

We now share a home, a daughter and a future.

So many dots.

Just trust.
